3 Easy Steps
Now that you know Which Tag is Right for Your Product Line, choose which verification to pursue below. Note: Compliance with the Make Life Safer plus (Green) program entitles a company to use tags from either the Make Life Safer plus (Green) program or the Make Life Safer (Blue) program. If you would like to be certified to use tags from either program, apply for Make Life Safer plus (Green) program compliance.
Apply through the appropriate compliance portal.
The Compliance Portals are where your company applies to join the Make Life Safer (Blue) programs by submitting a sample form and agreeing to the current Terms of Participation by selecting a choice below. First, identify the right testing samples needed in UFAC’s secure online Compliance Portal. If it is your first time working with UFAC, please start with the Make Life Safer program button on the left.*
*Note: All UFAC participating companies must become Make Life Safer Verified first before joining the Make Life Safer plus Program. If your company already participates in the Make Life Safer Program and is seeking to add the Make Life Safer plus verification, please select the button on the right.
Complete sample testing.
Test your samples by shipping them to a UFAC-approved, independent, third-party accredited laboratory. All directions are provided in UFAC’s Compliance Portals (click buttons above).
Order your tags.
If all of your samples successfully pass the Make Life Safer verification testing, UFAC will contact you to complete the purchase of your tags. The color of your tags will vary based on the program selected and samples provided. If there are any issues with your samples, our technical team will consult with your team and provide technical assistance.
IMPORTANT: Both Tags/Programs Require
Lab Testing and Annual Retesting
It’s that easy. Participating in UFAC does not only mean that your company qualifies to use the Make Life Safer tags, it also means that you receive technical assistance and support from the UFAC team.
Renewals: Annual retesting is a requirement for ongoing participation. Companies with passing tests may continue to order additional hangtags for one year after each verification cycle.
